Mind: A prison?
Some recurring thoughts keep on reverberating throughout your conscience. Moments, hours, days, pass by…. still you keep replaying the decisions you took, on loop, racking your brain for any minute details you missed, that could’ve led you to make a different but feasible decision, which in turn, provided a more favourable outcome.
You can, let go of people, avoid them, create a new circle, put on headphones and go about your day. The thoughts in your head, the intrusive ones, the voices that keep on rambling every time you’re getting some alone time, those are the ones which keep you up at night.
Albeit, the voices seem to overwhelm and influence how we go about out day, it’s actually pretty hard to keep those at bay considering the thoughts keep getting mushed.
Reality is often disappointing. But it’s you who can shape it however you want. Letting the intrusive thoughts take over means you’ve handed over the reins to someone else entirely. Stick to your decision, however harsh it seems. But think about all the possibilities any step you take will effect you. Rushing will only get you killed (figuratively as well).
